Since I bought my new macro lens I no longer have a need for this one. From what I've found it is an off brand that was made for several different names (ie. Vivitar, Cosina, Phoenix, Promaster). The lens is not the best build as far as quality goes but for what it is it takes pretty decent macro shots. One of best descriptions I saw was it feels kind of like a Fisher-Price toy but takes fairly decent pics.

It has a standard 1:2 magnification and 1:1 with the included adapter. Sounds pretty bad at times focusing and on my D90 I can only get it to work when set at f3.5 (others I get an error). I always used it in manual anyways so those really didn't mean much to me.

The attached picture I found online isn't my lens but is exactly the same including adatper.

Asking $125

Reduced to $100

I'll take some pics with it and post them probably tomorrow evening since I have school tonight.

Here is the actual lens and some pics I just took. These were taken with the macro adapter on and are not crops but the full image hence the softness around the main focus point.
Bubble algae not included unless requested.

Question: Do you think it Would it work with the auto focus on a Nikon D-40?

I don't think so since it doesn't have the motor built into the lens itself. Actually those pics were taken with my D90's auto focus off. I didn' care for where it kept trying to AF to.

Thanks, I liked it I just replaced it with then new Nikon 105mm Macro. If it was just for macro I would have stuck with it but I'm using the new lens for multiple tasks instead of carrying around three lenses.

Bump $100

Don't want to put up on Ebay and would rather see someone here put it to good use taking pics of their tanks.
