135 Oceanic tank for sale, including:

Cherry Oak Finish
-Stand
-Custom Hood (no lights included)
-55 gallon glass sump
-2 pumps
-Coral Life protein skimmer

No fish or invertebrae for sale, except we have a stone crab that is about 6-7" you can have for free with the tank.

You can have all the live sand and live rock left in the tank (we have already taken out the pieces we want to keep for our other tank).

We would like to leave all live organisms (plants, etc.) in the refugium/sump for the buyer to help establish their tank.

The tank has metal bracing instead of glass. There are two 2" holes on either side of the back of the tank- we use one for outflow and one for inflow.

ALL YOURS FOR $350!!! :)

Pictures of when it was established are below; however, we just have texas gulf coast fish in it now (and the stone crab).

Don't plan on parting out, would like to sell as a complete system.

The pumps were given to us by a friend so I don't know much about them. I believe both pumps are Rio's. We use one to run our chiller and the other one for inflow to the tank, but are giving both pumps away with the sell of this tank.

Hi, I may be interested in purchasing your tank. Live in Austin and currently have a 90 and a 75. Would like to consolidate to one larger tank and your tank would be about the right size. I don't have the cash now, but should have it within next couple of weeks. If you still have the tank around 2nd week of april would be interested. A few questions:

Could you take a few pictures of the hood open, so I can see how it might accomodate some lighting I currently have in my tanks. I was think about trying to put both of the light kits in. I haven't ever run a sump on either of my tanks, so this would be my first attempt at it. I'm always worried at the thought of flooding the house. Also, why metal bracing vs. gl***** Did it come that way and is that a center brace? if so, doesn't that block lighting into tank?

thnks for any info you can provide.

We bought it with the metal brace and no it does not block any of the lighting. All it is is two all-thread screws that are the width of the tank that screw into 2 metal brackets at each end, and the hood that we built covers it. There is virtually no light blockage at all- even less than glass bracing.

The hood was built from a piece of donated oak plywood (that has writing on the inside of it) so you might want to paint the inside of the hood but for us it was not a problem for us. The hood is painted cherry oak on the outside to match the rest of the tank (as can be seen from the pictures). All of the tank is oak and oak laminated plywood. If you can pm me your email address, I can send you a lot more pictures of the tank.

There are two pan fans drilled into the back the hood to keep the tank cool. Currently we have four 250watt metal halide lights inside the hood so I am not sure what kind of lighting you are expecting to put up but I am sure if its not over 6 feet long, you should be fine! :)

The only reason we are getting rid of this 6 footer is because we have a 12 footer and two big tanks are just too much to handle right now.

If you can call me between 10:30am and 2pm at 512-665-6400, I can answer any more questions you may have and explain the tank more in detail.

And "lol" on possibly thinking of a future flood :) I can tell you how to keep that from happening, from personal experience!
