I have been wanting to setup a frag tank for awhile now, so I desided on a 20L. I plan to keep this simple. I will use a aquaclear 50 for a HOB refugium, GLO 2x24" ( I have a GLO on my FWT, and for the price I like them), Koralia 1, not sure on skimmer(maybe a tunze 9002 nano). This will mainly be for zoa's, LPS.

Sweet, but no LED's? :D What kind of light are you going to use on the aquaclear? A K1 should be enough flow depending on how you position it.

Led's will be down the road. Not sure on aquaclear lighting yet. I have some 5W underwater lights I might try, but they would raise the temp in my bc14. With this being 20g and open top they may work out fine.

Underwater lights would be cool. You sure are keeping yourself busy. As soon as you finish you tank you already have another planned out. Keep it up!

I'm going to try to keep in stand alone, If I have to I could attach it to the main tank.

idk who told you but they are right, the spectrums betweeen 6700-10000K are better for growth b/c they put out more PUR which is what is used for photosynthesis (wow bio lab did pay off), but ya they just look less colorful :(
