I bought a blue and orange manderin (male i believe) about 2 weeks ago.
I have the the source to feed it and i seems to be doing good but it only comes out when all the lights are off.
Even if i turn the bedroom light on the fish will hide.
My question is, is there anyway to change this?
I there a trick to making it come out during the day?
I mean whats the point of having a fish that i can't watch

I can push my mandarin around with the feeding stick. In fact when I feed the sun corals I have to literally shove him aside. lol
My female used to come to the corner of the tank closest to my chair and hover there looking at me.
I'd like to think it's my personality but I am guessing it's the food.
Here's a link to a recent post of mine with some feeding ideas (article attached): http://maast.org/forums/showthread.php?t=58237 .
Mandarins really hunker down to sleep at night. They should be active and out and about during the day.
Most arrive very underweight though. At this point feeding it is your main priority.
Once it knows where the good stuff comes from it will be in you sight all the time :)
