I had a shipment of fish (1 box 1-3 fish, was not sure what he sent me, long story) that was shipped to me next day air, here in Corpus Christi. These fish were from my old tank in North Carolina. I was unable to be home for delivery and made arrangements with UPS to pick up the box at the counter later in the afternoon.

When the box arrived in Corpus Christi, UPS called and said the box was leaking. I panic, because I had had these fish for over 3 years, one being a 10" Empor.. I called Eric at Aquarium Masters first, but they were not open until 12:00 pm (See post about how Aquarium Masters saved me), so I called Tropical Fish Haven, being a customer of them too.

I had been going there off and on for the last 1 1/2 years since I moved down here. I had bought a good number of supplies and used stuff from them, all of which were great deals. And enjoyed talking to Bruce.

So, when I got them on the phone, I was ecstatic. I spoke to Matt, very friendly, and told him what happen, he said have UPS bring it by and he would help out.

Called UPS and asked them to head that way. Called back, and Matt said that Juile wanted to talk to me, ok. She stated that she could not and would not help me out, because if the "public" found out everyone would use them to house fish, people would want to buy my fish, ect... and she just had a shipment come in and did not have the room, WT..

How about putting NFS on the tank, or writing, helping a friend out, on the tank. It would make a great customer care story!!!!

I asked Juile come on, I am stuck right now, with no one to help me out, I asked if they could just put them in a salt bucket until I could make it up there, she then replied in a very RUDE answer, why can't UPS do that. I said, Juile come on, help me out, she said sorry. That's when I asked to speak to Bruce.

AAwww, Bruce being very nice in the past to me, I thought for sure things would be alright. Told Bruce what happen, he stated, hey I just got a big order in and I don't have room. OK, PLEASE just put them in a bucket until I can get there, I will pay you what you want. Sorry, can't help you. No way you can't do anything??? Bruce, sorry.

I could not believe it. How could someone being a good customer for over a year and half, and thought we were friends do that. Not only just doing it to help out a fellow hobbyist and save a fish.

People have the right to run their store how they seem fit. I also have the right to tell my story on how some stores treat their customers. I myself will never step in their store again!!!:bareteeth:

Wow, that sucks. As sad as this may sound, your story doesnt surprise me a bit. IMO TFH is only good for one thing.... vastly overpriced mushrooms. I haven't seen your other post about how AM's saved you, but that doesn't surprise me either. Eric & co. are good people.
