Hows it goin fellers?? Been keeping fish for a while now. Started fresh and converted to salt. Won't ever get away from keeping monster FW fish. My reef tank is 75g and has been set up as a reef tank for about 2 years. Before then it was set up as a FOWLR tank with lions for about a year an a half. Now, I'm more interested in Zoanthids and my collection is growing quite rapidly. I look forward to being an active member of this forum.
peace guys

Nice tank! & Welcome to MAAST!
Hard to imagine that your tank has been setup for 2 years and only now are you posting on MAAST. Glad to see you found us. :)
Can you give a run down of your equipment?

Kinda poor mannin' it, but it works for me and has for the life of the 75g tank. I run 6-t5 lamps, 3 actinic bulbs, 3 daylight bulbs, 2 emperor 400's converted to mini sumps(I guess thats what you would call it), a 5 gallon hob refugium, 1-koralia 4, and 3 other aquaclear powerheads (2-30's 1-20). Not sure how much live rock is currently in it, I think it's gotta be atleast 120lbs.
Never even heard of maast until I gave my friend a 55g tank, he directed me to y'all. Not too many people around this lil town are into SW set ups, so I was kinda left in the dark on everything, and learned pretty much everything by trial and error. Just glad to have a friend in my area that got into the reefing scene to share info with. Even better joining this forum will surely boost my knowledge by 10 fold.

Awesome. Won't be long and then there'll be 5 or 6 of us on the Southside and maybe we'll get our own fish store down here!

Not a bad idea. When I was living in KC, there was this woman who lived out away from anyone or any decent stores. She converted her garage into a little store and has actually done quite well and has a nice store. She has been holding KMAC events there for several years now. She has an 800 gallon personal tank and allows reefers that are away from the cities to have a LFS in the vicinity.
Some of you may have seen her on RC. CathyJ.
SORRY FOR SIDEBAR
Thanks for posting pictures Makeitwork, nice tank :) and once again, welcome.

I'd love to make it, but I'm on a job now north of Pecos, TX. I work in the oilfield, so it means I pretty much work all the time, it pays for my addiction to aquatic life. My time home pretty much consists of taking care of tanks and running up to SA to spend money on my tanks. I'll keep an eye out for future meetings. Thanks again for being so hospitable.

So you did finally make it on the board!
I'm the other Pleasantonian by the way. Everybody be nice to this guy, he lives 3 blocks down the road and technically owns my tank. Give him a hard time and it might get repo'd.
