I thought I would check here before I ordered one from Pet Solutions. Looking for a return pump capable (a silent one) of putting out 2300-2400 gallons per hours at a 5' lift. It must be submersible. If anyone has something they are ready to part with call me (210) 473-4206 (did I emphasize needing a pump that is quiet). :)

Yeah, it is. I'm looking to turn over water in my 240 freshwater tank close to 10 times per hour.

A dart reeflo pump is what you are looking for. Think it is capable of 3200 gallon/HR less at 5ft lift

Is it submersible? I forgot to add that little tidbit when I put out the ad. For that omission, I apologize.

I have a Dart pump. It is great and almost no noise at all.
BTW - It is external.

The majority of the pumps that are capable of that 2400 GPH are external. There are some exceptions but as you know you will loose gph the further up it has to travel. Im personaly a mag drive guy myself.
On a side note I once had a tank of a turnover rate 20x. talk about clean water.
