I am having a problem with hairline algae on my candy cane coral. i cleared up the problem with hairline algae in my tank other than the stuff on the candy cane. i have a rainfordi goby and lots of crabs and snails but it seems as if it wont go away. part of the coral is bleached and some is still green. i want to save it but not sure the best method. also its in a 29g biocube.

You can scrub it off, tweeze it off. I recently got a new frag that had some hair algae growing on it and took a long wooden skewer (like you would use for shish kebabs, this is my new favorite tank tool!) and used the skewer tip to scrape off the algae that I couldn't reach with tweezers or fingers, etc. At first I thought I might be damaging the heads of candy cane, as there seemed to be a little skeleton showing from my vigorous cleaning, but a day later, it was plumped up and happy in the tank and best of all... hair algae free!
