Hey Folks,

So I need a bit of input on this one. I've yet to find a good answer to the above, while I'm sure I need a heater, and they're cheap so it's a no brainer to get one, I'm not sure off hand what size heater is a good size for such a small tank, and where to put it in my NC

The next thing I can't seem to find much info on is whether a chiller is *needed* or nice to have? They're quite expensive, and I suppose theoretically my house stays at about 68-71 pretty much permanently.. My heater in my Turtle (RES) tank goes on quite often, but that's a *much* larger tank (100G+) and would have a much higher rate of evaporation.

Thanks,
Neogenix

depends on how much heat light puts out. if house is constant like that in summer you should have no worries. just monitor temp and if it start swinging too much look into a chiller. There are actually some easy diy chillers out there you can put together for 50 bucks that work great on smaller tanks. Read the ratings on the heaters. If your close to the limit goto the next size up if it will fit. heater goes into the second chamber (opposite side of the protein skimmer if you got the hqi)
