hermit crabs ina rubble sump?

Got a good rubble sump going, and didn't know if putting hermit crabs in there would be a good idea or not.

I don't have a light in the rubble sump, and wondering if they'll flourish, or die off?

I think they be alright as long as you keep them there and not wandering out of fuge and get inside pump and other equipments.

pack your return in the rubble, that will keep those boogers out of there. They may be attracted out of the tank by ambient lighting from your house, but I don't really know. I am a hermit, and sometimes a crab. :P
