If you want orange peel, do it yourself. REALLY, really easy. Buy a sprayer for $25 from Harbor Freight. Hook it up to a compressor.

Ruben, orange peels are pretty easy. The hard ones are like stomp-and-drag or the rough-brush finish.

What does it all entail. How hard is it to spray it.

Like I said - I stayed at a Holiday Inn, and I can do it. My first project was our neighbor's bath. Then I did ours (like that?). I also did the wall when I installed the tank, and the back panels. All in orange peel. For an even rookie DIYer, this project is messy, but easy. Like most projects, the prep is the hard part. Spraying takes just a few minutes. Just tape using the 3M plastic with the tape on the edge. Cover EVERYTHING that could get texture on it.
Now, ceiling popcorn? That is a WHOLE 'nuther story. That stuff is a pain in the tail.

I have a small texture gun that you are more than welcome to borrow.

I have a friend that could do it, for $ of course.
Also unless you have a good central air system id hold off for warmer weather.
It'll take forever to dry, and rubbing it for the oragne peel look comes out best when the plaster hardens a little.
I've had to do it before also (my dad's whole house) and the hardest part is holding that gun up for more the 45mins

time is not on my side. need to be in that house by the end of the month. im fixing the cracks now in between work schedule. i am looking to pay someone but some what on a budget. so i would be taping and covering everything that needs to be protected. ive read up on it n seems pretty easy n if it comes out wrong then im unique. but would rather pay someone to just come in and spray. i want to spray the ceilings with the orange peel also n get rid of that popcorn. thanks for alll yalls help.
