be on the lookout for leather eating nudibranchs!

i was looking at the tank the this morning and saw something frilly on the underside of the neon yellow colony.

upon removal from the tank, i found that the bottom was covered and there were (i think) brown patches of eggs also.

here are the ones i picked off - even the pieces of the ones i broke during removal are crawling around the bowl.

to make sure i got all of them and removed the eggs, i scrubbed the colony with a toothbrush. look at that red water that i scrubbed em in - gross!!

during the process, the colony broke in half, but both pieces look good and are already starting to open back up now that they are in the tank

Yikes! the longer you are in the hobby, the more you need to look out for. Well, now you will have two full grown colonies. You have the grn thumb of coral propagation:D
