When I first got into the hobby I saw a shrimp at Texas Tropical. I have never seen it again and it's "the one that got away" lol. I have searched every resource and decided either it is very rare, or every picture of it is an awful representation. I would love to find this shrimp again and add it to my biocube that will be setup shortly. Here's the details:

It was shaped like a camel shrimp (hump back) but larger in size and brown. It had either a blue belly or blue legs. It isn't a pistol shrimp. :)

This might throw everyone off but I want to say it was called a horse shrimp... no google won't pull up any results

Thanks!

Bigger and solid brown. Keep the ideas flowing? I thought the Saron Shrimp was it (minus the spikes), but they don't come in solid brown w/ blue leggos.

'Bigger than sexy shrimp. Size around 2"-3" And def. not shaped like a mantis. It had a definite arch in its back. I've even checked to see if there were crabs that resembled it to no avail.

Reef Compatible (javascript:popupWindow('/product/refinement_definition.cfm?rid=4', 200, 500, 400, 100)): No

no clue why doesnt say any reason

The diet of a Saron Shrimp can include brine shrimp, plankton, flaked food, frozen food, and small pieces of fish.

Wow, that is one really weird looking shrimp!

Your telling me! lol That shrimp has been in the back of my mind for four years and I finally rediscovered it. I had never read about Saron shrimp before last night. I'm hoping I could supplement his diet and get away with blue palys, gsp, kenyas, etc. Eventually including zoas. They are nocturnal but most nocturnal creatures will modify their schedule to when you are feeding - to some degree at least.
