Can you glue a ric to a piece of rubble I almost lost my ric do to him not attaching to and floating around. Of course this would be done with super glue?

It holds for a little while and then they still take off ... little boogers. :(

LOL I know mine was chilling on a rubble piece so I placed it on a larger rock woke up in the morning, and it moved lower in the tank then came home from work gone. so after moving ALOT of rock I found it chilling under a rock so back on the frag rack with rubble again. Seems to be like "Blank it i'm moving"

I have found super glue will not work w/ rics or shrooms. I have tried way more times than I want to mention. A technique that some have used is mesh over the ric to hold it down in place - or using a box of some type to put the rubble and ric in so it has to stay there and take root. Once it does root down then you can move it around a little at a time to find a happy place for it.

Super glue never worked for me either. When I had free-floater, I tried keeping on top of the rubble piece by pinning it under a waterbottle chopped in half, with a bunch of holes in it. It almost worked. Almost. But the other rics on the rock didn't like the hindrance on the current and light. So... I sewed it on.
I read about this somewhere, don't know if it was archives here or on RC or wetweb. I used a bright red thread so it would be easy to spot. It totally ooged me out to poke a needle through the flesh (not near the mouth).
Don't know if anyone else has tried this, or would recommend it. But it worked, and quickly. No strings attached anymore (heh heh) and it's doing great.

+1.
I used mesh to hold mine down until they attached.

I use a water bottle but I do not turn it upside down. I cut the top off and leave it deep enough that the ric/shroom won't blow out. I still poke holes in it (several) for increased flow. Once it attaches to rubble I glue the rubble. I have also had it attach to the bottle. Then I just cut the plastic and glue the plastic done. Mine eventually move and then I take the plastic out.

I had the same problem with hairy mushrooms rolling around the sand bed like tumbleweeds in a bad western. I used a tuppleware bowl, bottom filled with rubble rock, a screen meshing over the top and in about a week or two they were attached to a rock.
I've tried the gluing thing with kenya and it didn't work. Tossed it in the fuge over a pile of rubble rock and in about a week select the rock that has it on there and place into display.
I've tried the sewing thing... not a big fan of it though.

The small palstic containers that strawberries come in work well for this purpose.
