My tank is looking gorgeous, thanks to a bit of help from ya'll.
sorry for some of the stupid questions!!! ha!!!

But now the idea of (do i or don't i need/want a refugium set up)

I've got a great skimmer, hang on back filter, lots of great live rock, etc. on crushed coral instead of sand(algae issues)........

Cheto growing at the bottom right of tank seems to help w/ any algae issues... but I may just have idle hands and want more, more, more stuff.

Any ideas from you saltbrains out there???

IMO I would put a fuge, then your cheto can come out of the maintank and in there. Also a great place to get pods to grow, So I vote YES. I modified my sump to have a section for a fuge all it took was a light and some acrylic to add a section.

yes of course you want a refugium. What better way to control the daily pH swings.

if you have a pic.....I'd appreciate it.
I want something simple......... maybe take my skimmer off the main tank and put it down under.
I just don't know how to adjust flow, or get it all going quite yet.
i've got an extra 15 gallon in the garage. how easy(eguipment wise) would it be?

Is your tank drilled? If not you'll need an overflow, an aqua lift pump, and the tubing to let water into the fuge, and a pump to return it to the top. The 15 gallon would need a baffle or block between the chaeto and the return pump as well.

How big is your tank? You may be able to plumb it into your wet/dry filter (which is beneath the tank, right?).

I have a 100g rubber maid tub next to my 75 with a bunch of live rock and chaeto in it.

65 gallon tank.........no refuse, and no wet dry...... Just running it simple!
Crazy huh?

It's my fuge, my overflow goes into it and my return pumps the water back in. :)
