i am so tired of my large turbo snails knocking over ever frag in my tank. it is like they search them out just to **** me off every day.
i come home from work and my favia is faceplanted into the sand, the zoa's are upside down. the sps in behind the rocks in the back. crap im frustrated.
so i stopped by acadamy and got some 40lb fishing line, some glass leader beads and came home.
i broke out the drill, unibit, ruler, knife, and old scrap piece of acrylic and spent was toooo much time making this tonight.
but i like it!!!
it is suspended from a cross brace and there is no way a snail can get it now. (just need to transfer everything to plugs or rod)

Thats different, but it looks good. The line is a good idea, helps keep the flow up.

Have you seen this quarter's Reef Hobbyist magazine? Very similar idea explained in it. I like this wind chime twist on the style.

thanks folks. 8 hrs down and now the lights are on.... i still really like it.
it is not as user freindly to move or adjust but sure beats picking up coral off the sand and from behind rocks.
