that some of the fastest growing corals are so expensive?
I am not complaining - I am just wondering.
I was just feeding he dendros and they are putting out new heads like crazy.
The Acans are growing and multiplying really vigorously as well.
Even the Duncans seem to grow nicely.

I would have thought that price would be at least in part related to how easily they can be propagated. It seems like you could make more Acans and Dendros easily.

They will eventually go down as propogation of them increases. It is the old supply and demand. Ricordias also kind of fall into the same boat as they split and can be split fairly easy.

A little history Purple Tangs $200, MH lamps $100+, 1 stalk of Xenia $60, Albino Oscar $100. As kkiel02 stated it is supply and demand. If as an industry we continue to thrive and raise corals at the rate we have the prices will drop tremendiously. Look at the Picasso and Onyx Clown craze.
