I have some soft corals, mostly zoanthids, that I need to stick to the rocks. I don't have any putty or anything like that. I have tried super glue but I can't get it to work underwater and some of my rocks are too big to take out. I would prefer not to re-arrange my whole tank :/ Any solutions? I don't have a lot of LRR either.

Super glue gel -- regular cyanoacrylate is too viscous for the job most the time. The gel is much easier to work with, esp. If you're not removing the rock from the tank :)

Lots of ic-gel from a hobby shop ( or crazy glue gel). Or you can get reef epoxy it comes in grey?, red, purple, white.

You could also super glue whatever corals you are trying to attach to a small piece of rubble, outside of the tank. Then you can place the rubble in the tank on a larger piece of rock, or epoxy it in place.

Loc-tite gel glue is what i use to glue all frags. Available at HD,lOWES, AND wALMART.

+1 to loctite GEL you if size allows try using a rubber band to hold the frag in place on the large rock until it attaches I have done it for smaller rocks and works good

LOC TITE Gel as well. It works much better than any other glue I have used. I put it on the frags base, place it, then pull it away after about 15 seconds, put the frag back down and twist until it finds a position that it locks into. Then another 15 seconds and it should hold very well.

I just recently learned about the 'twist' (Ace's wayward spider sponge) and it makes all the difference.

Yeah for sure. It wont kill anything, believe it or not. I use a ton on colonies and it works. The twist method works very well with colonies and even small frags. Don't expect to glue something on a point because most often the glue will just squish out the sides and becomes a pain. Set it on the surface with the glue on it...... Hold it there very steady........ Pull it away so there are strings of glue between the rock and frag, quick twist, and squash it back down. Then twist it till it feels level and secure. It doesn't work 100% of the time, but after getting used to it it works well. Gorgos are truly a pain to glue because of the flow in the tank!!!
