Wed, 20th Jan 2010, 05:27 PM
We, the Board of Directors, are happy to annouce that the Frag Exchange program is now open for web members to view. They will also be able to participate in level one. Participation in level two and three will still require a charter membership.
If you have any suggestions for changes/additions, as always please feel free to comment.
Now start fragging :)

This will be a great boon for the newer members who havent had as many opportunities for such things, as well as giving them a taste of what charter membership has to offer! Great move! :)

Ha! If we're to hire a full time dude, it will be an Assistant to the Administrative Assistant.... aaaand that person will be responsible for making the coffee. :) Ancillary duties to assist Rob in the soon to be burgeoning frag swap program.

Everyone has me laughing on the comments.
Glad to see everyone is stoked about the level one being opened up. We think it will be a good change as well. (great idea Allan <I'm stepping on a stool and giving you a pat on the back>) If it gets too busy, I know who to come to.... Karin and Justin...haha.

Are you trying to post in level two and three? I just tested the forum and it's still working correctly as it should be. Please give more details as to what forum it says you do not have that privilege.
Thanks.

Having the same issues as marcusgonzales210. Where is the forum supposed to be located? I've looked up and down the index and I just don't see it.

It's right above the ">> Trading & Selling Forums (http://maast.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=4): Forums dedicated to selling and trading"
It's titled: ">> MAAST Frag Exchange (http://maast.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=101): Donate a frag, decide the value, post it in the...."
Note: You may need to click the drop down arrow for the forum to show. I tested it and it's working and other web members have posted in there.

No restrictions.
It's there. You may have to click the "hide" arrows or drop down windows for it to show.
They are little plus signs "+".
The forum is in it's own section. Directly under the MAAST Library.

saabtech, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

Do not click the link in this thread, in fact I'm going to remove it. Try to navigate there.
Web members have access to view the threads and post but can NOT post in level 2 and 3.

To try help out here I will say it does not show up for me either. The header with the "+" is not even there to expand the forum section. Looks likes there's a bug for some of us not sure if browser related of other issue.

Is there anyway to make it so that all of the threads from the frag exchange don't show up on the home page? I've alweays navigated the site by looking at the most recent posts, this has become much more frustrating now that most of the threads are just from the frag exchange.

Guess that would be a matter of preference...because for me personally, I also navigate the site by selecting "new posts" and if the frag exchange ones never showed then I wouldn't have a way of knowing what changes on the site....in particular the frag exchange....which I have to update.
So, I guess what is a benefit for me may be an annoyance for you.
Another way to look at it is... what benefits the club? Well, by having the posts show up it's an opportunity for web members to find the program...if they find it and enjoy it, it may turn into an opportunity for the club to get a few more web members to become charter members.
Another angle... if I'm a Frag Exchange participant it could be another way to flag me that someone wants to adopt my coral.
If you haven't bought into the idea yet, perhaps you can select to hide that forum....not sure if that will change what shows up in new posts for you or not.
Anyways...just trying to give you another angle on the subject.
