So what's the biggest critter that's managed to get into your overflow? I heard a splashing commotion the night before last, only to discover that my 5" bluejaw trigger had cleared the last 1-1/2" of grating to go exploring in my overflow. Eels and octopus are disqualified because they're too good at going for walks, but what else of reasonable size has ended up where it shouldn't in your tank?

not big but lucky:
my clowns were terrified of the tang we had and jumped in the overflow several times.
One time one of them actually made it down the drain and I found him laying sideways on the filterfloss in the wet/dry trip tray - ALIVE! He survived.

yeah, one of my previous clowns must have jumped over once a week for months it seemed...

I find my mystery wrasse and secretive wrasse in the sump about once a month. They are about 3-4 inches. Also, my yellow watchman gobie has made the trip once too.

I used to find my clown goby in the overflow all the time. Then one day I found its body stuck on the hole on the pipe.

i had 3" flame angel go over into my calfo overflow ( 48" X 3" X 4"). I thought he had died and was lost in the rocks or the serpent star had eaten his remains. 4 weeks later I was cleaning out the overflow and he got splashed back into the tank. He immediately went right back to his normal routine of grazing around the rocks. I wish every fish I've purchased over the years had been as hardy as that little guy.
