I noticed over the last week or so my GBTA wasn't eating and wasn't always inflating like it usually did. I couldn't figure out what was going on with it until I got up this morning and where my young BTA once was there was now 2 BTA's!! I couldn't believe it...not sure what I'm doing that is so right but sure hope I can keep doing it.

I actually bought it from a MASST member at the frag swap this summer in San Marcos. I was teenie tiny...about the size of 5 cent coin. I put it in my tank and it just sat there and grew. I feed it tiny pieces of silversides 1-2 times a week. It has more that tripled in size! I was waiting for it to get a little bit bigger before adding clowns...guess I'll have to wait a little bit longer now!:)

I dont want to rain on your parade and they look fine now but a split on that small of a bta may mean that your levels shifted. Mine split when they reach mature size(usually 10ish ") unless I cut them up. Anyways they look good and congrats on the new one.

Parade rainer :)...just joking. Thanks for the heads up, I didn't even think of that. I will test my levels tomorrow morning even though I don't think there was a shift. I'm pretty strict with my tank routine. I do a 10g water change every 2 weeks, and feeding and lighting schedules are constant...but you never know. I do have some crasy growth with all my corals though. My frog spawn has doubled in size in the last 6 months and my fungia frags that I got at last years TMAC are growing like you wouldn't believe....almost circles again! Never hurts to check levels though...thanks again!

Well I retract my statement as my smaller brown with white tip bta split and has been hiding in the back of a rock until today when one came around to the front of the rock. It looks healed already but Im sure the stomache etc. hasnt healed all the way on the inside. Both clones are probably only an inch or so wide but have long tentacles for their size.

Yay, parade rainer...still just joking! :) Both of mine are doing great. Both are healed and even ate a small piece of silverside yesterday. The funny thing is that they both are the same size I thought the original one was when it split. Now I'm wondering if it would be possible to keep both of them. I have a hard time giving up livestock...they become my babies! :bighug: On a side note, both have been getting actual bubbles..something I never noticed on the original!
