Well maybe? First of all, I have to give major props to my boy, Gabe, up at Gabe's Fish in San Antonio, I went by to visit yesterday evening around 7pm and didnt get out of there until 11:30PM!!!! Good times were had by all! And I felt really great emptying my wallet to such a great guy with a top-notch store and he shares major passion like me about the hobby and his customers.

As for the coolest coral you have never seen...Gabe recently got 3 "Walking Dendros," they are a sweet new coral coming into the hobby, been around research for many years, but sortof new from what I have read to the hobby....bad news is, you cant get them from Gabe because I BOUGHT ALL THREE OF THEM!!!! HAHAHA

Seriously, I purchased all three, one for me, and two for my best brothers from other mothers, Dr. Mark and James at GC Reef. It is so crazy because it is actually a mobile coral that looks like a duncan or something, and it moves around your sandbed, I think it is the only moving coral. The movement is actually the secret of an incredible symbiotic relationship because a "peanut" worm actually lives inside the bottom of the coral and moves around sifting the sandbed while the dendro is photosynthetic. But, with the tenticles and mouth, I am sure it eats phyto and such, and I actually target fed it a small piece of mysis shrimp of which it gobbled down like a fish!

Here is a great article about it, and see my pics down below!

I couldnt get pics of mine to come out great, so I am also showing a nice pic from cherry's corals of which looks just like the ones in Dr Mark, James and my tanks...I love expensive, rare stuff, and I cant wait to see what this guys does long-term!

Anyways, you know how we get when we are the proud new daddy of something cool and unusual, I just had to share with my fellow reefers of MAAST! Hopefully, I will see many of you knuckleheads next weekend at the MAAST meeting at GC Reef.

AGAIN, MAJOR PROPS TO GABE, GREAT TIMES AND GREAT STORE!!!! I DEFINITELY SEE WHY CORRUPTION, STANGCHRIS AND OTHERS ARE SO LOYAL AND LOUD ABOUT THE GOOD TIMES AT YOUR STORE!!!

Woo Hoo!

Do you have any way to take a video of it moving? I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say I would like to see that.

Does anyone know where these are collected from and what he collection impact is? I'm always curious about new corals and whether they are being collected responsibly or not.

I cannot say that they are super mobile, the first night it moved about 6", today it stayed put...my orange linkia star moves alot fast than this coral.

But, when I was acclimating it in a tupeware bowl, I actually saw the worm sticking out! It was pretty crazy!
