I am attempting to reproduce similar results to what I found a couple months ago here > http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1652267&highlight=gavage+feeding.
I am not very optimistic at this point but if it does go well I want to keep a record of events here. Will post pics tomorrow when lights are on.
Anemone- about 5-6" specimen with gaping mouth, still fairly sticky and light blue colored.
Tank specs and postitioning- Right now it is placed on top in 180 gallon reef tank. Flow as of tonight is low to let it settle in some. Lighting- about 12" under 250w mh.
I wasnt going to feed tonight as I fed my other anemones but had extra shrimp so I placed a piece in its mouth to see if I would get a reaction. We will see if it will take the food tonight. I might add this will be my first attempt at a carpet, I have a few different bubble tips along with rock and tube anemones in the same tank.
Problems I forsee is that it wont be able to position itself in a "good" spot where it will be happy thus stressing itself more and declining even more health wise. I am waiting an hour to see if it will take the shrimp then going to add some flow to keep my other corals happy.
Anyways wish me luck as I will need it. I will keep yall posted.

Well it doesnt look so hot today. I doubt it took the food as it didnt by the time I went to bed last night. Its mouth is gaping a little too much I think too try and feed it like I wanted to. It also fell down to the bottom of the tank so I might write this one off if doesnt take food tonight.
