Live food presents a lot of risk. Parasites being the biggie. Have you read other people trying this?

I always used frozen. Not sure you can get live and they may introduce itch, etc. If trying to feed a predator fish, I have posted before that I spear the thawed silverside with a broom straw, it is soft and flexible, and wave the fish in front of finicky eaters (lionfish, anglers) and they will bite a 'moving' dead fish.

I remember that post about the straw!

In regards to get them to eat (if that is in fact what you are wanting) you might also consider the time of day. There's quite a few predatory fish that hunt in the evening. Using actinics or even lights off might help if they are evening/ night hunters.

That would be cool to get live ones, breed them and then sell them to people that need live feeder fish. I googled live menidia beryllina and all I could find is that website you have just posted.
