I've bought the black plastic clamps at Aquarium Design before. I have also gotten a whole bag of cheap colored plastic ones at the local hardware store.

Boat store for stainless. The ones at autozone & HD, the screw isn't stainless. HUGE difference.

yeppers

after 4-5 months or so if you unscrew more than likely you have to replace it

Sorry guys, am looking for an adjustable plastic type clamps. The type with barb teeth and it clicks when when you squeeze it. Not a stainless steel type.

really? I've never had a problem so far (a few years of use)

Giau I got the whole bag at a local mom-n-pop store, not a chain

Oh, yeah. Just be patient...

Exposure to UV, salt, ozone (if you use it), etc. will make them brittle over time. The nice thing about the SS ones is you can look at them and think "uh oh... time to fix THAT". There's no accidentally popping the SS ones either.
