Welcome to MAAST!

What kind of tank do you plan to set up if you don't mind me asking? A FOWLR? A full blown reef tank? Any idea on the eventual stock?

Anyways welcome to MAAST and the hobby.

thanks for the warm welcome everyone. i wil definately post up pics as soon as i start adding to the tank. im going to get some more live rock today. i will keep everyone posted on my build. im not sure what a Fowler tank is, but i do want to have some corals. i dont think the lighting that i currently have is enough for a full blown reef. thank again

Your tank has plenty of lighting for shrooms, leather, polyps, zoas, acans. Just be patient with the cycle. THe longer you wait, the better. I have seen too many people dive into the hobby and purchase live stock to fast. Start with good water movement,a consistent light cycle and some good live rock.

Hi! If you been able to research and wait that long for your tank I am sure you have the patience to wait for things to stabilize. That's great.
I had a 29g tank for a long time. It's a great way to get started. Not as expensive as a big tank but more stable than the little ones.
Can't wait to see updates! :)

it inly took about 10 mins to balance everything. The first pic has a little hermit in the center. He seems pretty happy running around everywhere.

welcome to MAAST. biocubes are cool, i used to own 5 all setup at one time, so any questions just ask, as you can see allready evryone is very helpful here. take it slow research and plan ahead and you should be fine. the stock lights on the cube are fine most of the stuff in my 65 came out of 2x29g biocubes.

I think instead of "Welcome to MAAST" we should be greeting everyone by saying "Get ready to UPGRADE!"

I am fixin to go big. :D

thanks again everyone. I don't think I've ever been a part of a forum with so many helpful people. Most of them bash people for asking questions or just talk trash.

Looks good. I loved my old BC29 - here is a link to pics of it and should give you an idea of corals you can keep in it. Mine was stock lighting, I did upgrade the flow a little and modified the chambers a little to facilitate cleaning. Make sure you clean out the bottoms of the chambers periodically.

No sweat. I loved mine and it served me well until the "I need a bigger tank" syndrom hit me. Any other ?'s please feel free to ask - I along w/ several others have or had these tanks.

Those pics are great for being shot with a phone camera! Love the rockwork -- looks like you're off to a great start :)

Quick question -- are there 2 different types of clowns in the tank, or is it just a trick of the photography that it appears that way?
