I have a few corals I am looking at purchasing and was wondering peoples experience with them. Are these difficult and are they hardy?

Blastomussa
Chalice (and is this similar to Monti)
Bubble Coral
Elegance

i pretty new to salt water but i believe that the clove polyps are pretty easy as for the other ones they are just a bit harder as long as you have enough light and make sure your water stays good by frequent water exchanges they shouldnt be to hard

i have Blastomussa and its easy, it doesn't need too much light and likes a little to medium flow. it eats the little frozen shrimp you might feed your fish.

bubble coral require lower flow area of the tank and i would stay away from elegance unless you do lots of research = very little long term success with them.

Keep in mind that these are all general statements. What thrives in one tank perishes in the next, no matter what you experience level is.

+1 with Ace. I've had a bubble for quite some time and it's doing well in a low flow area down on the sand bed... seems to like to feed at night rather infrequently. Lately I've seen some long tentacle sweepers coming from it so I've stepped up the feeding a bit in response.

Elegance, beautiful creature and I've tried to care for one that I picked up from Gabes. Too difficult IMO for me to deal with, along with the flower pot (geniopora?), and won't be trying it again.

I've no experience with the others on your list.

We agree on the elegance- beautiful, but we did not have much luck with the one we bought. We won't make that mistake again.
