My mandarin is hurt. It appears that one of her fins is bends forward and she has trouble navigating. Is there anything I can do for her?
I have some pretty strong Seios.
I put her in a breeder basket right now so she can rest. Is there anything I can do for her?
I just hope she didn't get 'stung' by the new diadema urchin. :(

I had that happen to a seahorse but it ended up popping back into place.

I am just so upset over this. I am scared to check on her and see her passed away. It took me so long to find a female and then it took so long for them to work things out. Over the last few weeks they've really gotten to become a nice pair, sitting together even when not spawning.
She was even more personable than the male. We have the quarium in the dining room and when we were eating she'd always come to the corner to stay close to me.
She's my favorite fish. I'll be so sad if this freak accident is going to kill her.
The male stayed beside her the whole time very quietly. Sad, sad... :(

As long as no one is picking on her, she SHOULD do just fine. She still eating?

She still eating?
No not eating. But it must have just happened within the last hour or so. And it's time for the lights to shut off. Feeding time for the mandarins is usually more during the day.

It took about 3-4 days. Had to turn off the return so it wouldn't just spin in circles.

She's doing a little better already! Fin is still sticking out to the side but at least it's not forward anymore. Yay!

Fin is almost completely back to normal! She's enjoying breakfast right now. :) Amazing! I can't believe how resilient the mandarins are. Yesterday she was rolling over the sand. It was that bad. And today she's fluttering again and eating her food. I'm so happy. :)
