I just picked up what was listed as a candy cane coral with about 26 heads. Very nice peice with one small issue, I'm not sure what is what it says it is. It has clear tenticles that are out all the time wich makes me think its a meat eater. I have another candy cane coral that doesn't have anything of the sort on it. Is this just another type of it? or am I looking at a different coral all togather?

the are the same coral then? they seem very different?

Quite possibly -- we couldn't possibly tell you without pictures :) those which are typically sold as candy cane corals are all meat-eaters -- they'll all grow much faster and plump out more if you target feed them some mysis or similar.

The 2 links are pictures that are at the bottom of the question. Haven't had much luck in loading them in yet. It sounds like the candy canes are correctly specified now that mean my other one is the one im wrong about. It has no tenticles that I have seen.

Have you looked at night? Typically, they feed during the night -- they're usually 'trained' for the day... I can't see the pics -- I don't do the facebook thing :)

That IS pretty strange looking.. Tunicate? Sea Squirt? Cucumber of some sort? Strange is what it is :D

That is a filter feeding pink cucumber. It is simlar to an apple in that it actually has bright yellow branches that come out and feed. I have 2 :)
