Has anyone else had issues with the duel timer (non digital) from Coraline.
Ive gone thru 2 of these in the last month.
The duel has 3 plug in's for MH lights , one constant on (running my small fan inside my cabinet) They are controlled by one timer.

The second timer controlls 2 daytime and 2 night time plugs.
I have one daytime used (pc lights) and 1 night time used (moon lights)

Here's the problem ...they work great for about a week, then i loose power to the actinic plug in (day time plugs) Then eventually loose power to the night time .

The MH side never loosed power and works flawlessly.
The first one i sent back also had a piece broken off inside that i could hear rattling around. The second one sounded good.

Its kept inside my cabinet, but away from water and there is really low humidity if any!

Right now , im without a timer and it sucks. Anyone have any suggestions!

They are junk. I went through 3 before I gave up. Surge protectors and cheap timers are the way to go

I also returned one, mine does this sometime for whatever reason. What i have learned is, to turn it off with the red switch for about ten seconds, then turn both knobs two complete times the rest ur times(the big knobs) then turn it back on. Does the trick, for me. Hope this helps.

The Coralife timers have a bad repuation.

Check it out... http://search.yahoo.com/search?p=coralife+timer+problems&toggle=1&cop=mss&ei=UTF-8&fr=yfp-t-701

IMO, I would ditch them and go with something more reliable and trustworthy.

Yep. Coralife. They will work okay with anyting but MH lights. I switched to MH and went through 3 in a month. Too bad because they have some nice features.

I use the dual timer and had it since my 55 gallon set up. That was 3 years ago. Now I run it with my 110 with halides with no problems. The only thing that has broke on mine I one of the timers doesn't click between the on, off and timer positions. Something like that for me it's not a big deal. I just wonder if there quality control has gone out the window or maybe had a bad batch.

Yep...I loved the idea of mine...now it's just working as a power strip. Went through 2...both went bad after just one month of use on MH.

I've been using mine for nearly a year and a half, but not without issues. Both timers quit working a few months after purchase. The dials spun, but the switch wouldn't switch the power (either with the timing switches or the main dial switch). I unplugged the whole thing and took it apart. I opened each timer box to make sure nothing was locked up (it didn't seem to be). I put it all back together and both timers were working again. A few months later, it happened again with the actinic/night timer. Again I opened it up then put it back together and the timer worked. A few months later the actinic/night timer quit again. I've been using it that way for quite a while now (too lazy to open it back up and try to fix it). Luckily the daylight timer hasn't given me any more trouble. No I would NOT recommend this product to my friends.
