all 2x4 frame except the two long ones front/top. those are 2x6s to avoid a center brace in the front.

By chance do you have any pics of how to make the doors? That's about the hardest process right now.

You saw the doors at my house that day. That is the one thing I would have changed. I wouldnt have made it one big door. it is too heavy.

Hey JT did you get a new tank?

yes sir, we picked up a new tank but it didn't come with a stand so now we get the joy of making one lol

I'm thinking either 3 or 4 doors

try putting a door at one of the ends if you decide to put a brace along the middle for extra support...this will help with putting in and removing a long sump...

well right now its just sitting in the kitchen, im letting the silicone dry

the plans are to start the stand build this weekend it might just be the framing for a little while since this is the season to be low on cash lol

i think since its an 8 ft tank i will just put one in the middle of the tank

the sump is 4 feet long so i should be able to angle it out if need be

check out this thread on RC. http://www.reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1567110. It is in the DIY forum. It should have all the info you could possibly need.
