Are there any invertebrates that will eat sponge? I have a lot of sponge in my tank. It is growing on my rocks. I am considering getting a Rock Beauty Angel but would prefer to have an invertebrate if possible.

Just understand that 1) Rock Beautys are tough to keep (my favorite angel) and 2) they don't eat all sponges.

just curious: what's bad about sponges. I kind of like mine. They sort of solidify the rock structure for me. :)

I once asked at a LFS what was growing on my rock...was told sponges are a good thing. Is removal often sought after due to tank aesthetics or because they can become problematic.

The sponges in my tank are getting pretty prolific on my rock work. It even grows on my corals. It looks like noodles.

I love the Rock Beauty Angels. I have a few angels in my tank of a different genus. There is lots of natural food in my tank for a Rock Beauty to dine upon. In your experience what makes them difficult to keep?
