I am starting a 20 gallon nano tank and have cycled now for a month and a half. I just purchased two clowns and am hoping to get some coral soon. I was wondering what would be good corals for begginers and for nanos.

welcome to MAAST, dont be scared to ask anything, a lil advice be sure you want clowns they can be a lil aggresive sometimes, just make sure you plan out what you want to do with the tank or atleast plan ahead so you dont waste your money buying more equipment later

Wise words from Chris! ^^

Welcome to the hobby! Just to echo Chris's statement -- read read read! Make sure you've got an understanding of what you're aiming to purchase before purchasing it... re-buying parts because its not what you expected gets really old, really fast :)

Welcome!

There are always people on here that are selling (or giving away) Mushrooms, xenia, Colts, Kenya trees and Green Star Polyps. All of those are pretty hardy and grow very well. Like stated above do a little reading. Some can just about take over your tank.

Welcome to MAAST!

Noticed your location and we are not too far from you (IH-10 and Huebner), so if you would ever like to swing by to see our tank, ask questions, etc. please just shoot us a pm. I know that we learned a TON by visiting with Troy Valentine, bstreep, and many others when we were newbies. We also could give you some GSP or kenya trees to get you started with some easy corals as a freebie if you do come over.

Welcome! I like how open you kept your sand bed. Looks like you picked some sugar fine sand. Might want to add a powerhead if you don't already have one. It will help keep food and poo from settling.
