A few lucky souls won a gift certificate at the December Meeting this past Saturday. Looking to see if anyone wants to jump in on a group order.

The order would be shipped to a single location (our house). Everyone will order on your leisure and just reference this is for the MAAST Group Order when finalizing your ticket.

Please reply here and we will look to wrap up all orders by Next Tuesday, Dec 15th and look for Delivery by Dec 17th or 18th. It will probably be best if we avoid delivery during Christmas week.

Good morning MAAST!

We have chosen not to have a shopping cart or checkout mainly because at one time (still do) we ordered a lot of corals on-line, paid for them and then the supplier emailed back saying what we ordered was not available, and would you like some of these or those as a substitute. Very frustrating.

The point is this -- We want to be involved in every order from the beginning. Communicate about what you want, and what is available, before any money exchanges hands. We just find that the whole process is much smoother that way.

The ordering process:

1) Decide what you want

2) Go to our website or send us a PM of your list of corals.

3) We will check and make sure we have what you want and more importantly, make sure the frag is healthy and can handle the stress of shipping.

4) Once we confirm we have what you want, we will send you a total amount due.

5) We only accept Paypal as a method of payment. If you are familiar with Paypal you would send the amount due to customerservice@midwestfrags.com
If you are not so familiar with Paypal we can send you a Paypal invoice and you can pay by clicking on the Paypal weblink.

We have had a lot of success with this ordering method.

Hopefully this method is acceptable to the members of MAAST.

Marvin and Matt...my comment of "are you serious..." was directed at Eve...I thought she was going nuts because she said "when you checkout" (which she has since edited from her post...which now takes my comment out of context...LOL) and I already knew you didn't have a shopping cart.

I was not judging you guys for not having a cart. I completely understand. Just wanted to make that clear.

Well, considering you don't have the chalices I want I guess I will not be in on this order. Maybe next time. You guys have great customer contact and beautiful corals at very affordable prices. I also greatly appreciate the quality control and not fragging and shipping. That was a major problem with my last online coral experience.

I apologize but I have decided not to ship today. Today's high is supposed to be 12 with overnight lows minus zero + we have a winter storm warning in effect -- supposed to get six inches of snow. We shipped 8 orders on Monday and all had low temp issues.

Hey just curious, did everyones frags make it alright, still doing well?

I got five frags on the December 18 order. A month later, four out of the five are looking great. Zoas are putting on new polyps and open and happy. Only one that did not do well for some reason was the sunset monti. I am still hanging on to hope that it will be one of those SPS rebound stories, but it has been sad, colorless and polypless, since the first day after I put it in the tank. The reverse sunset monti is as happy as can be... go figure!?!

We are just finishing several other group orders and will take a breather today. Tomorrow and over the weekend we will frag and take pics of some new items we have been letting colorup and grow out. By next Wednesday we will have restocked our WYSIWYG section with really nice new stuff!

For the sale we will offer a 10% discount off of listed pricing. I want to extend this 10% off sale as well to our newest venture www.FragSupply.com (http://www.fragsupply.com/)

When you go to our site www.MidWestFrags (http://www.midwestfrags/) there is a Frag Supply section. Select that section and it will redirect you to our new site, or you can go to it directly. I know the mix of items are a bit "off beat" ... items you don't normally see on a reef supply site. But they are items we all use, or will use, as our systems grow and mature.

For this sale I will reduce the shipping paid minimum on orders to FragSupply to $100. If you meet the $100 minimum the order will ship directly to you via FedEx Ground.

We'll have to decide what to do with orders for less than $100 -- shipping to a single location or direct to you (??)

When placing the order at FS, place it as normal, write in the order comments this is for MAAST and I will rebate back the shipping and 10% discount. Sorry -- this is very new and I haven't figured out promo codes yet.

Eve -- I would suggest starting a new thread for this new MidWest Frags group buy, then we can start fresh and post some new pics when they are available.
