Looking to get my son a puppy/dog for Xmas from one of the local shelters/rescue groups. He wants a big dog so I'll be in need of a large dog crate for keeping it inside. Let me know if you have anything, thanks.

If you can't find what you are looking for, the animal shelter off Wurzbach and Naco has a sale every weekend.

LOL, yeah, it's sad so many dogs are left to run around loose by people. I browse the Craigslist pet section and all of the shelters/rescue groups websites for about a 50 mile radius of SA and it's amazing how many dogs need homes.
Anyway, I've pretty much had my mind made up on a certain breed. I've found a breed specific rescue group nearby and have finally been approved so I may be picking up our new pup next weekend! Still looking for a large dog crate, if I don't find a decent used one I'll have to pick one up at a store.

I have a huge wire cage type kennel we used on our boxer when he was a pup and as he grew up he kinda a destroyed some of the small bars on the door but it should still work for kennel training your more than welcomed to come look at it and offer what you'd like. It does have the sliding tray bottom for easier cleaning. I'd say its maybe 2'x4'x3' and collapsable. Paid over 150 for it new. a few years back. Its plenty big for a large dog, we use to sleep both the boxer and bulldog in there together.

Got a pic? Might have to check it out, just not sure when I'll have time.
