Just want something with more accesses,less heat, less lights, upclose and more views.So i came up with this idea.

-Barebottom
-4 sides view
-48x48x16 by Glasscages
- rimless and trimless

Oh yeah, that clam will be the center piece,if it does not move out of the center:bigsmile: Will add more clams, especially the Gigas.

Controller = ghl profilux. It takes advantage of dimmable ballasts. :) They're 500 to start but well worth it!

Very Nice! Ive always wanted a 48x48 tank. On their site they have a 175g listed at 48x48x17 im assuming that what you have.

Yeah they do. Ive bought from them before but i figured its only off 1" so maybe its that one.

Glasscages gets a bad rap somtimes but i like there tanks.

I wanted to go 20",but afraid that will weaken the panels, so i sticked with 16" standard. Except i upgraded to Starfire glass on 3 sides.So far i am very happy with it.

Good think about 16" is that its easy to light!

Yeah, got it from Houston. They supposed to deliver it to S.A on Dec 9th,but that trip was cancel so i had to pick it up from Houston 1 month ealier than planed.

The tank is 16" tall, the water level at 14". My 8 yrs old son is already reefsafe. Just need to work on my 2yrs old daughter. Thinking about building sometype of wraparound fence around the perimeter of the tank.

Still going thru the cycle, that's why you can see all the green algae. I am very happy with the color,the growth and alot of PE on all my SPS .The zoas garden is very happy too.

Giau is the war coral the left overs from the frag I got from you...? If so it has really grown in! Mine is jamming too... it's one of my fastest growing corals.

Tank looks great. That clam is huge.

****UPDATE***04/13/10

took out the big rock and sold it to Erik
the 2 big clams moved toward the back of the tank.
lost 2 big colonies (atl crayola and baby tip stag) 2 of my favorites.
brought the calcium reactor up online for the first time.
added a new batch of fishes (mostly small ones this time around.
added another 30-40lbs of LR for fishes to use as shelter.

Thanks Dale, i need to go up to Austin and buy some of your old water. Hopefully that will help my tank growth:). I know alot of us here can't wait to see that 360 up and fill with giant SPS colonies.

Thanks guys. I like five 1" fishes instead of one 5" fish now.You can place more fishes to add more colors, and small fishes are so much pieceful than those big fishes.

This one was kind of a regular tank. Your current tank is such a showpiece. It's nice to see that you started just like all of us. :)

yep, karin is right. the old tank was really nice, but this cube is exceptional!

It was a used custom Perfecto that i bought from someone off Thriftynickle classified (lol).

Thanks Karin. One of mine downfall in this hobby is not wanting to keep the same group of fishes for a long time.

Thanks Rob. I've had sand before for about 2 weeks and did like all of the sand storms that my mp40's created. Plus i bought the wrong sand too (too fine)..lol.. I like the BB better, i can position the Vortechs where ever i want.
