Tomorrow is the day when we'll find out if you can really just cut a big hole into the stand without the tank coming crashing down.:hypnotyized:
This should be a fun day project. I'll be glad when it's all back in and my mangroves are in my new 50g sump...

LOL, lets begin the drumroll. What size is your previous sump? I only know carpentry from my very minuet self taught experience, but I used to work in warehousing. From that exp. I learned that cardboard can withstand great amounts of force if the other boxes' corners match up. So I would think that most of the force on your stand is being exerted to the corners and if your tank is lined up you should be ready to rock n roll.

Good points about the corners, Justin!
The hole is made. Old sump is out and new sump is in. Plumbing is more challenging than expected due to what little space we have left for the pump.
I'll be glad when it's all done...

I think 'finished' would be plumbing completed and water in it! LOL
Still working on that part...

It's got water in it and is circulating :)
Whew. I am glad it's done. It really was an all day project. I am still making more water...
I am just running it with my old HF 12 since I am missing a few connector pieces for the pump I got from the z28pwrs. Looking forward to getting that hooked up and trying out twice the flow next week ;)
