So I just got in my used Mag 18. Exciting I know. Low and behold the thing is packed in packing peanuts. Of course they managed to find their way all in the inside of the pump. So I go to take off the plate that holds the impeller and snap goes the ceramic shaft. At first I thought it was supposed to be in two pieces until I removed the rest of the impeller. I'm so bumbed. Does anyone know if the impeller comes apart and/or if the shaft alone can be replaced? I really don't want to fork out another $30 for an impeller. I might as well as bought it brand new.

I was thinking duct tape too. :p The magnet and the impeller spin around the shaft so I would think that it's quite a bit of pressure even for loctite. I guess it's worth a shot though.

its really not too much pressure. Tape is too inconsistent and will leave you with a vibration. That vibration will lead to excessive noise. Noise ain't cool breh. :D

I was kidding about the duct tape. Lol! I'm about to see what will happen if I stick this thing in a 5 gallon buck full of water. I'm thinking of something resembling a monsoon...well maybe.
