We have decided to paint out stand/canopy/towers black. The dark wood and pink trim is not working for us any longer. We would like to possibly go light on the wood stain, but too much work would be involved to remove the dark stain.
Now I have done some research and found the the following:
1. Prep - Lightly Sand entire area
2. Use Kilz as primer for inside of tank stand
3. Use Acrylic Paint on outside of Stand/Canopy. Go over with 1200 gpi sand paper between final coats of paint.
4. Do not use Latex Paint. Can take up to 30 days to cure. Some latex paint stay tacky for a long time.
Does this sound like the correct plan? Also, we have a large area to paint, should we paint with a brush/roller or use spray paint?
Thanks.
