I will soon be getting out of the hobby for personal reasons and am selling my 75 gallon tank with all associated cabinetry, hardware, lighting, and livestock. Overall dimensions are 67" (h) x 53" (w) x 23" deep including space for the overflow.

I believe this tank was custom-made and is about about 75 gallons. It has beveled corners in the front and is somewhat unusual and I think rather attractive.

In the matching base is as large a sump as could fit in it absolutely loaded with live rock rubble. There is also a refugium with a small sand bed, some live rock rubble, chaeto, and a light.

The skimmer is a Euroreef 5-3, which I believe is rated up to 100 gallons and seems to easily handle the load on this tank. It has always worked quite well.

The matching canopy was custom-made by Hobogato (Ace) as well as the calfo-style overflow in the back and the refugium.

The light fixture is a 760-watt Odyssea Unit (4 x 65-watt CF and 2x 250-watt MH) and I'd say the CF bulbs are due for replacement and possibly the MH bulbs also.

The tank comes with two small powerheads. The return pump is a Pondmaster of 950 GPH rating.

The tank has a substrate of about 4-5 inches of sugar-fine aragonite and about 80 pounds or so of live rock.

Livestock

All measurements are approximate:

1 duncan colony of about 15+ heads
5" clam, which I was told was a Crocea, but could be wrong
3" flame angel (clam safe)
4" yellow tang
2" six-line wrasse
2" Ocellaris clown
1" blue chromis
2" psychedelic mandarin
2 pink palythoa colonies of about 25-30 heads each
1 superman mushroom
Several small striped mushrooms
1 small Ricordea
Several small zoo frags
A green star polyp colony, which has never been out of control

In the interest of full and honest disclosure, the tank does has a few Aiptasia, but they've never been a real problem and have been managed easily with Aiptasia-X.

I believe this is a rather attractive tank that could make someone very happy. I believe this is a great deal and would like to sell the complete setup, but I will listen to offers of the more easily removed livestock. When I was able to give the tank more attention, it was rather nice looking and I think it could be again.

I will eagerly answer any questions. Please PM me to ask or to arrange viewing or purchase.

Thank you,

Mark

Oh man I wish my husband was into fish. That must be so fun to just be able to say: look hun, here's a great deal! Let's go get it. And then Mr Kristy would say: of course. Right away. We'll take the truck. I'll hook up the trailer.

That's hilarious. It went a little like that, except this time it was Mr. Kristy saying, "look hun, it's a great deal, etc." This tank is going to be all about Mike.

It's great that we are both in the hobby, but so dangerous too because then there's no one to be the voice of reason. (This is our third tank... so there's NO reason!)

Mark, thanks for the good deal and the truly amazing unusual tank. We'll try to put together a build thread eventually, but right now we're exhausted and still have SO MUCH work to do! Back to the tank move... Break's over!

I agree Karin I wish my husband would just take a little interest really I wish this was his hobby first because then I really be in a winning situation. LOL believe me I have plans for him when all my tanks are down. I really hope it works because then I'll be getting a brand new Big Tank. I will then be looking for some more rare and beautiful wrasses.

I've considered getting my husband a seahorse tank for Christmas but that would be as obvious as him getting me a rifle. It's not going to work :(

LOL I suggested he buy his gifts and I buy mine so I make sure not to get rings and necklaces or anything else like that. Last year Christmas morning we were laying in bed talking he say I hope your going to like what I got you and I said as long as its not a necklace or bracelet then I'll love it. Well low and behold did i eat my word it was a open heart necklace. I felt so bad but I have only worn it 3 time in the year Ive had it. He should know Im not into jewelery. Oh but he was fine after he got his new toy because I got him a Hobart wire fed welder.
