I plan on adding a second ritteri in the near future. There would be a perfect place for it on one of my two "columns". The problem is that when I do water changes - usually about 40g- the top of the columns are exposed for roughly 15 minutes. I know mags usually like to be closer to the top because of the lighting. Should I just build another "island" for it, or maybe cut down one of the columns and make smaller water changes?
I'm thinking aloud here. Let me post a pic.http://i468.photobucket.com/albums/rr43/adipal/PICT1481.jpg

I am always careful not to exposed my H. magnifica totally out of the water. I have drain water until it is barely in the water but it's body still support by water. I don't want it injured due stress of unsupported body mass.

Thank you for answering. I may cut the right column down and make smaller water changes so as to not expose it. My tank is 104g and 10 or 20 gallon water change every 2 weeks is enough. Sump is 30g. Is that enough? My skimmer works over time and I empty it every 3 days.
Thanks, Minh
