Feeding questions

After a year of feeding exclusively frozen foods, (mysis, brine, reef plankton, etc) I am trying to switch my fish to pellets. I just added coral to what was a FOWLR, so between target feeding, and specialty diets, I am trying to simplify the daily routine. Right now, I am alternating between the frozen and pellets. I have a blenny, that is only eating frozen mysis. Every other fish in the tank accepts the combination of small marine pellets and nori with near rapture. I have heard that I should stop feeding frozen for a few days, and the blenny may take the pellets, but I do not know how long is safe. How long could I hold off the supplemental feedings, and not risk my blenny's health? Do you have any pellet recommendations that may be more effective in the switch than formula one?

Also, I have a 4 inch Condy Anenome that I am feeding approximately a quarter inch cube of table shrimp or silversides cut into small pieces. How often should I feed it?

I usually skip a feeding, then feed a tiny bit of the frozen to get them stir crazy. Then add a pellet or two. It rarely works the first time, but the usually end up preferring it. Might be because of the smaller, easier bites though.

For the condy....how big do you want it to grow? Thats the thought process I use when it comes to feeding anemones. I usually do once a week, unless I am wanting them to grow faster.

That's not the only criteria to consider in feeding a condy. When we were newbies we got a condy and never fed it anything and it ended up eating two of our little clownfish. I'll never forget shining a flashlight on the bulge in the condy and seeing a distinct orange and white image. So, you may want to feed it to keep it from looking for its own food supplements.

Also, regarding the "unknown" blenny: is it an algae-eater? If so, that may allow you a little more flexibility with skipping the frozen for a couple of days while you transition him, knowing that he can graze if he is really hungry.

You may also want to try a good quality flake and see if he will accept that more readily. We have a little tail-spot blenny that likes to eat flake, but funny enough, he will only eat the green veggie-flavored flakes! He does not, however, like the pellets.

I would love for the Condy to grow a bit... and I like my clowns swimming! Plus, I love to watch him eat. The Blenny is trying to eat the pellets, but he spits them out of his gills like when he is digging in the sand. He eats mysis, and other frozen just fine. I have never seen him touch the nori, but my foxface is a bit of a food hog and may be guarding it.
