Well my 28 nano cube is only 5 weeks old and my power just went out. Last week it was freakin cold but now it's burning outside! So we have to keep the windows open and when I checked my thermometer is was at about 90! My new pagoda cup still has it's color but it's polyps aren't out at all anymore. What should I do!?!? Has this ever happened to anyone else? What were the results?

Quickly, put some ice cubes in plastic baggies and put them in the tank water, keep an eye on the temp as it drops/..

Baggies might tear. Not only would you have hot water but tap water thawing out in you tank. It is a quick fix though. Maybe more long term would be frozen soda or milk jugs.

Most people dont have frozen milk cartons on hand, baggies work just fine if you dont slam them around, especially in an emergency situation like this.

Plus you're looking at a nano...not much room for jugs...baggies will do in a pinch. Good luck - but keep an eye on it and don't let it go down too much.

thanks for all the advice guys!!! I'm going to try out the ice. The large change in temp won't stress them out too much do you think?

Don't go too fast - it may.

Slow is better. Ice bags are the answer.

Good response time Jim!

thanks for all your help guys! The temp is back at around 80 and mostly everything is doing good. My pagoda cup's polyps are beginning to open again and my copepods are multiplying like crazy, maybe due to the temp increase? All my hermits are accounted for but my margarita snail isn't going to make it. He doesn't have enough strength to stay on the glass. My nassarius snail is lost so he's probably dead or stressed. But everything is back to normal and I'm going to get some more coral today. :) with me luck guys
