Man, that is one incredible wellsophyllia!!!! Where did you get that from? I bet it cost a small fortune, no?

Seriously, tank is looking good and your care level is spot on! Now all you need is a he'll of a deal on a high-octane skimmer!

Updates:
Blue tang is no longer yellow, he is beginning to turn beige and blueish!
Added a Tri-Color Anthais
Added a Cleaner Wrasse (eats anything and everything I feed em)
Added a Mystery Wrasse (eating like a pig!)

SLOWLY but surely switching to a more SPS/LPS dominated tank, less softies. I recently went to GCREEF!!! and bought a nice GCR Tri-Color Acro as a test and its been more than happy under my T-5's and is super blue with great polyp extinsion, happy with the results I went BACK to GCR and bought the "3 pack FHI Farmed Mini SPS Colonies" for a steal of $89. The three I picked include:
ULTRA Blue Milipora
ULTRA Metallic Rose Milipora
Pink with ULTRA Green Polyp Milipora (reminds me of Pink Lemonade)

When I say ULTRA.... I mean ULLLLLTTTRRAAA bright, Michael knows!
ALL are HUGE multibranched "frags" and exhibiting GREAT polyp extinsion looking like little shag rugs.

Im considering upgrading tanks as Im moving into a new building soon, a 95g. Also a pair of GCReefs own Onyx Clowns will be added as soon as they are big enough!

PICTURES SOON!

I would like to thank all the Corpus stores for providing me with such great service and fish/corals!!!

now back to genitics studying...

Very nice tank. How do you like the Atlantic Blue tang? I always love to get one but it is so strange that, living on the Atlantic coast, I never able to see a healthy one at LFS to get. How do you rate them as a large aquarium fish in term of suitability?

Atlantic Blue Tangs are notoriously poorer kept in captivity than their ilk from other bodies of water.. They also get to the size of dinner plates :)

Do you have future accommodations for the Tang as it grows? A 2 foot wide box isn't really appropriate here..

(sorry to be a downer, I kinda feel a responsibility...)

Tank is otherwise beautiful! :)

You might want to keep the red planet lower in the tank. Most people have only been able to keep the coloring under lower light. I keep mine in lower light, high flow and it holds it's colors great.

The blue tang has been amazing and he was super healthy when I picked him up from Aquarium Masters. He is only about 3" right now so he has time to grow, and yes he will be put in a much larger aquarium! I got his as a juvi so I could watch him grow. He is a great fish, I have a cleaner wrasse whom is constantly cleaning him and has never had a spot of ick, and he doesnt bother ANY of the tank mates even though this is HIS tank. I rate him as a 9 out of 10, such a good tank mate and is so bright.

Glen how low do you keep yours and what lighting? I really really want to keep this coloration, its beautiful!

Thanks

as long as theres no delusions about a 55 gallon being a long-term home for it, I have no further problems :)

I keep mine ~2/3 of the way down in a 20L. I'm lighting the tank with 2x's 150w 20k mh, and 2x's 24w of actinic T5's. The lights are about 10" above the tank. Your 8 bulb T5's are probably every bit as much light as my set up, probably more actually.
