Pending Pick-Up Saturday
She is large and free. At 2.5-3"
Very beautiful, BUT............
She comes with a warning label. Very territorial.
I got her from R Allard and he told me she was fiesty, but I did not think this fiesty.
Since ive had her she made the entire 29g tank her domain and will attack me every time I stick my arm in the aquarium. I can deal with that though, the bad part is any time I put a new frag in the tank she gets P@#$%-off and knocks them down. On one occassion she even ripped a few shrooms off the rock and I cant find a couple. I cant put anything in there with her fish or coral without having to worry about it..
So with all of that said she needs to go into a larger established reef with other fish that will put her in her place.

Tempting.
She hosting in anything? I have some tangs that might not appreciate her dominance and possibly knock some sense into her.

I have a 75 gal with a coral beauty that is boss. My occilaris don't fight anything! I can give her a try. I have a coral beauty, flame angel, 2 bangiis, 2 chromis, yellow tang and a lawnmower blenny...do you think she would be alright in there.

Rob she host the entire tank, lol. No she doesnt host anything that ive noticed.
timmytimtim I think she would be ok with the mix you have. I will keep you in mind incase Rob doesnt take her. A 144g tank with larger tangs will suit her well.

Thanks, Ray. I'm worried about my purple firefish...I hate to see him hide for 6 months...LOL! That's what he did when I first added my coral beauty.
If Tim doesn't take her then I'll allow myself to be tempted again.

LOL! Ok, I'll take her Ray. I can come by Saturday if that works for you?
I'll bring you a frag. Need any more macro? I also have a black sea urchin (it eats coralline algae though, and it accidently mowed through an encrusting SPS). It's yours if you want it.

DANG! My black and white is a sweet heart! She's kinda big so I think it's a she. She has a buddy... a yellow tang! My tang and clownfish follow me! When I stick my hand in, the clownfish just hangs around and ignores my hand and my yellow tang tries to munch on the hairs from my arm! LOL And my 2 cleaner shrimp come and try cleaning my hand.
I had no idea clownfish could be that aggressive that they draw blood!

Rob. so what was the winnig technique? Turning out the lights and wraping the tank for a couple of days or physically splitting the tank w/ eggcrate? other?

Turning out the lights for two days did the trick and providing two algae clips in different areas of the tank. It took about three months for the purple to start fighting back and then they became friends...now all three of my tangs swim around together.
It will be interesting to see how Ray's mama stirs things up.

I am glad to hear Moby, the Kole, is doing well.
Yikes you guys with all your grumpy fish. Mine are all sweet and nice... might be a reflection of the owner's disposition? j/k
