I would put it in a bucket of chlorine water for a day, then de-chlorinate it and then a bucket of saltwater for a week with a power head or air stone. After a week check the amonnia/nitrite/nitrate levels in the bucket if 0, place it in your tank.

wow, that seems a bit overkill, but I guess you cant be too careful these days with our reef tanks
giant, how big is the tank you want to add them to? Also, how big are the rocks? I would just throw them in, and assuming that tank has been cycled for some time now, and is over say 50 gal, then there should be no real impact on the system parameters.

wow if you bleach it like that wouldn't you pretty much kill anything on it?
In that case why bother with liverock? Couldn't you have just let it dry out then and use it as base/dead rock?
When you stored it in your garage did you have any circulation going?

The heat doesn't really matter when it comes to LR. The little things that ARE living on there go through a lot and survive just about anything. Since you have a 55g I would put one in a month but at the same time I would make sure the other(s) have some water movement while they wait their turn to be put in your main tank.

That's what I would do, but that's me.
Others might say leave it in a tub with water movement and a skimmer. Do water changes on it for 4 to 6 weeks and test the water to make sure the cycle is over.
