Hey, there!
I'd love to hear what everyone's procedures are for dipping new corals. TMPCC? Lugol's? FW dip? What do you use for SPS, and what do you use for softies? I want to be more diligent with some new acquisitions I have coming soon.
Thanks for sharing!

I recently picked up some kent dip. I can't remember the exact name but it's tech something. I haven't used it yet though. I'm kinda like you. Where I want to start beefing up my biosecurity. I've always qt fish but most my corals I just put in there.

For Zs and Ps I use a little iodine with RO water; soak them for a few minutes and inspect carefully; scrub and pull off anything I don't like (e.g. sponges). I have found sundials, spiders and nudis and their egg cases. All of them wicked in their own right.

For stonies I use Revive Coral Cleaner in tank water. Dip and swirl for a few minutes. I also use this treatment after fragging.

For SPS, I use a mixture of Lugols, Interceptor, and Levasol (pig and sheep wormer). I dip everything for 10 minutes. In a gallon of RO water, I add Lugols until it looks like strong apple juice, 1/4 tab of interceptor and 1/2 tablet of Levasol.

I know it sounds harsh but I have never lost a coral to the dip. I would rather loose a colony than a tankfull.

Wow, that's some powerful stuff. Huey Lewis wasn't it?
