If you had a budget of $500 extra to buy a skimmer which would you buy?
Why?
Is it because of the pump or because thats all you have ever used?
I have an octo extreme 150 but I think i'll be needing a bigger one than that.
Ive been looking at the octo cone, it does up to 250 gallons, what do ya'll think.

I guess it might depend on how much space you have to fit it in.

I still don't know about skimming. I may turn mine off again. Look into building a cool turf scrubber and reap the benefits. Spend that money on good corals.

I'm very happy with the octo extreme I got from y'all. Tons of bubbles and easy to set up which I'm sure you know after glueing that other one back together.

Which octocone do you mean? Is it the XP-2000? If so it is rated for medium bioloads up to 200 gallons. I'm thinking about going with that one myself. My sump is also 12" wide.
