To really determine this we need to know what coral you plan to keep.
SPS require a lot more flow than Softies and LPS

Depends if you put the powerheafs visibly seen 2 koralia 3's, but behind the rock work 2 koralia 4's on the side and a koralia 3 in the center.

For a 55g tank with soft corals I personally thing 2 Koralia 2's suffice. One on each end of the 55g. If you plan on upgrading to better lighting for SPS id suggest 2 koralia 3's.

Are you talking about Dave's Rare Fish? If so, that is an amazing store, but he does not carry supplies.

If you are referring to GABE'S again, yes we have Koralia powerheads.

yeah, 2 would be good, but make sure you dont aim them at anything to start with. Oh, and the Koralias dont like wavemakers, so if thats the plan, may want to be sure they wont be a problem. google koralia and rattle

rule of thumb (not mine) but mentioned in about.com about marine aquariums, is 10-20 times the water volume in flow. For examle...if you have a 10g tank, then you would want one powerhead that pushs 100g per hour. this gives you a 10 time an hour turnover rate. if the powerhead does 200g per hour then your pushing 20 times an hour turnover. you can get this easily with 2 powerheads. for your 55g tank you want a total of 1100gph turnover. a single k2 does 600gph, so (2) k2's gives you 1200gph or a 20 time turnover. and (2) k3 will give you 1700gph turnover either way you will be really good to go.

I'm with Jim on Koralia's, I have them, but dont like them.

On my 55 I ran a Red Sea Wavemaster Pro w/ 2 MJ 1200's and 2 Hagen model 110's.
Great random flow.
