So as some of you may know, about what happend with my camera.
It has giving me a chance to get a NEW one.(just a positive way to look at things)
So ive decided to go with this one.
Ive used a D60 and loved it.
I have also barrowed a Cannon XTI, it was a great camera but,BUT,BUT.
I just like nikon better.
So any feedback, what do you guys and gals think.

I'll be getting by the end of next month or maybe sooner.
So if you can think of a better camera to change my mind, lmk.
Also post some pics, with the camera you have, not just aquarium pic's, all other kinds portrait, landscape or "night" <-------those were always hard for me.

I have a D90 and I absolutely love it, it's the "big brother" of the D5000. I also prefer Nikon over the comparable Canons.
Here are a few shots from my trip to Europe back in May:

Hey Clone,
We have a D40 the baby brother to your D60 lol... We absolutely love it.. It can take some awesome pics as I am sure you already know.. As I have come to learn.. I am now enrolled in photography classes just to see what more I can learn from this Camera.. Here are a few pics that I took here recently. I would eventually like to upgrade.. :)

Another vote for the D90 if you can get swing it. Loving mine also.
Just bought a new Temron 28-300mm VC carry around lens for it so hopefully wouldn't have to change lenses as much. Not quite as wide as I'd like but will do probably 90% of my shots the and the Nikon kit 18-105 can do the rest.
That is until I can afford some really good glass.

nice pic's Eve,so on saturday i'll be going by the camera store and checking out the d90.
Im just not sure of the bulkyness of the camera, but anyway I check it out.
There is one thing that I dont like about the d5000, and thats the flip screen,it makes the body fatter.
So its a toss up between the 2.
Im just not sure on the price for the d90.
we'll see.

To be quite honest with you, unless you plan on investing time and money in classes and really taking up photography as a hobby, don't waste your money on the D90, the D5000 is plenty of camera for most of us.
Save the money and get the D5000 and spend the money you save on some quality glass, or a decent lens and a hot shoe flash unit like the SB600.

Not familiar with the D5000 since I haven't been in the market, but zerreissen makes a good point. If you don't plan on doing much with it other than standard photography and it takes decent pics go for it.
I've also owned Canons before and they have a great group of lenses to choose from also.
